Welcome to the something new! Right next to interiors sits my second favourite passion. Food. We couldn't survive without it and if you ask me, life wouldn't be worth living without the enjoyment of it either! I've toyed for a long time about whether I want to include food on here or not but the more I've thought about it the more it only make sense. I mean I LOVE food and I want to get personal with this blog. The more I thought about it, the more I was asking why not? So here we are today, starting my very own recipe box.
Baking in particular has always been a big love of mine, and while I don't get to bake as often as I'd like, I still have a few favourite recipes. Since life has been crazy busy lately, I'm going to have to hold off from sharing my all time favourite food to bake today, but I am going to share with you a few of my favourites recipes that others have created. All these recipes are from other blogs that I absolutely love and most have a huge range of other recipes that are just divine! Definitely worth checking out when you have a few spare minutes and a not-so-hungry tummy!
Cinnamon Apple Muffins. Winter definitely calls for flavours like Cinnamon and Apple and these muffins couldn't be more of a treat, warmed up on a winters day with a cup of tea they are perfect!
Blood Orange Friands - Moist and delicious, friands are one of my favourite treats to have at a café. Being made from almond flour they're light and work with any flavour under the sun, blood orange included...
Lemon Poppy seed cookies - I only made these for the first time a few weeks ago, so we had something light to enjoy after dinner. They were absolutely perfect, maybe not entirely wintery but non the less delicious and just the right size to calm a sweet craving!
Churro Balls - Churro are one thing, Churro balls are a whole new world! Perfect for entertaining with some chocolate fondue. I love these because they are like Churros but being bite size means no one has to worry about double dipping.
Homemade Apple Pie - I couldn't possibly list my favourite winter baking ideas without the inclusion of an Apple Pie. It's a classic that is perfect year round, but fresh out of the oven on a cold wet night with some home made custard... life doesn't get much better. Make your own pastry for bonus points!
